Team Selection Finalized
The team selection process has been finalized. The 2012 Team List is now available in the TEAMS section as well as this Team List link. We will be collecting information on uniform sizes and team names this week.
We also offer a selection of team apparel for teams or individuals wishing to accessorize for the season. Take a look at our Team Apparel Order Form for details. Whirlaway Sports in Metheun, MA is our main vendor for volleyballs and uniforms. They offer good prices to NSJVB members on volleyball equipment such as volleyballs, footwear, knee pads, team socks, and ankle support systems. All current NSJVB Players were recently sent Whiraway Sports discount coupons. If you did not receive one please contact Doug Beach at the e-mail address below.
Important New Items for the 2011-20012 season:
- We have opened a Facebook page to facilitate communication, share pictures and engage in volleyball discussions among North Shore players, coaches, and supporters. Come and be our 'friend' at http://www.facebook.com/nsjvb
- Our fee schedule has been modified:
- Open Team fees are now $800 to cover the cost of extra practice dates.
- Club Team and Developmental Program Fees will stay at $450/$350 respectively.
- Late fees will be assessed for late tryout registration and late Program fees.

Hall of Fame Weekend - Feb 11 - 12
The Volleyball Hall of Fame, located in Holyoke, MA, is holding a weekend of volleyball on February 10 and 11 that includes a co-ed players clinic, a coaches clinic, and a college tournament between four top level college teams. The co-ed players clinic is for all ages (players are grouped by gender, age, skill, etc. for the best learning experience). The clinic runs from 9a-2p on Saturday, February 11th and each registrant gets a ticket to the tournament semi-final/final along with a tournament t-shirt (registration must be received by Jan. 27th to receive the free t-shirt!!)
The coaches clinic has a new format this year so you can hear six mini-sessions with the tournament team coaches rather than just one speaker for the whole day. The coaches clinic runs from 9a-2p on Saturday, February 11th and each registrant gets a ticket to the tournament semi-final/final along with a tournament t-shirt (registration must be received by Jan. 27th to receive the free t-shirt!!)

North Shore Developmental Program
If your volleyball skills are not developed well enough for the Club Team competition - NSJVB also offers a Developmental Program that runs 9:00 - 11:30AM every Sunday AM from December 4, 2011 to May 6, 2012, at the North Shore Technical HS facility. The Developmental Program, established in 2006, has been very successful for both athletes new to the sport as well as players needing additional skill training before trying out for the Club Team level. Players will receive intensive skill training in all aspects of competitive volleyball play, and will receive evaluations of their skills at regular intervals over the season.

Club and Open Team Registration Forms and Procedures
NERVA Registration Procedure - All NSJVB participants must be registered with NERVA. Please follow the NERVA Registration Procedures to complete this task. No one will be allowed to tryout for NSJVB until they are members.
